At first I was hesitant to spend the extra money and figured it would be a hassle to put together and set up. I was so wrong.
Yes it is almost ⅓ the price of the blind but it is well worth it. We had already spent the extra money to get the step kit which made it easier to climb up to the blind with my big, klunky hunting boots. But after trying to find that first step and climb down on the slick steps when you're tired, it's cold and it's dark made me wish I had a little porch or deck with some rails or handles... Oh yeh, they do make that!
Now, we have three decks on all three of our condo blinds. Most of our big hunters are almost as old as me (71) and the guys who have balance issues or none trouble are praising this addition. Now they can get up of the ground and see a little better than we did in ground blinds.
If you have a condo blind, you need this deck. Easy to put together and easy to attach. One person can do it, but easier with two. Takes less than an hour.
I purchased the Sportsman Condo 3 and had it shipped to Tennessee. Did not receive any tracking information other then that it was shipped. The tracking information would have been helpful to foreworn the receiving party when it was going to arrive. I flew to Tennessee to with the tools I needed to complete the set-up. I mounted the Condo on five-foot 4x4 inch legs. Good height for the Condo. The tools that I carried to Tennessee was a battery powered drill, battery operated heavy-duty driver (Milwaukee tire lug remover) for installing the four anchors in the dirt. Used lag screws for the legs and three sixteenth cable to attached to the anchors. With the right tools and materials, the Condo went up easily and in a short-time. The quality of the shooting house was very good. The only thing I would suggest that they would offer the Condo with tempered glass windows. The Plexi-glass is okay, but temper-glass would be much better. For the price-point of the Sportsman Condo it is a good buy. I built a shooting house in my yard this year and the costs of the construction materials approached the costs of the Condo (I built the shooting house like a house and over-built it). I looked at just about all the shooting houses on the market and kept coming back to the Sportsman Condo based upon the price and the quality of the blind. I would hardily recommend the Sportsman Condo.
First elevated blind I’ve ever built and been blessed to hunt in. I’ve experienced some cold hunts and I’m going to be warm this hunting season bc of this blind. I love the 360 windows so I can see from all angles and I can’t wait to ask my buddies to join the hunt with me. I can fit 3 ppl comfortably in this blind. The price point is another plus. There are other brands asking an insane amount for a blind but this one is the biggest bang for your buck! I’m very thankful and glad I purchased these blinds will recommend them to anyone and look forward to many hunting seasons in the ram blind!
Best value on the market!! Doors have been improved and we bought 4 for our ranch. Ma
Y need more!!!
I had a hard place to get a stand into. With the light weight and easy setup this stand was the ticket. Hunted in temps below freezing with a buddy heater and windows open and stayed very comfortable. Buying the extra porch is a no brainer and makes getting in a out a breeze. Also makes for a good location to hang the oversized propane tank for the heater.
I was surprised by the size of the blind. Comfortable for 2 hunters with room to spare. We picked it up in northern Mississippi instead of having it shipped. No problem ez loading and getting in and out of the facility. Highly recommend these blinds and company.
I recently purchased the new Sportsman's Condo Ridgeline, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The build quality is exceptional, offering great durability that I can rely on for years. I’m especially impressed with how well it holds up against the elements—no leaks whatsoever, even in heavy rain. It’s a solid, well-crafted option for anyone looking for a reliable and tough outdoor shelter. Highly recommended!
This stand is very well constructed. My grandson is excited about this deer season. It was very easy to set up.
After shopping around for good hunting blinds I decided on the Sportsman Condo SC-3. Hunting Blind HQ provided the best deal. I made arrangements to pick up 2 at the factory. The pickup went very smoothly. A friend with a tractor helped me raise the stands (the best & easiest way to put stands up). I fully recommend buying stair brackets , it will provide easier access to your blind.. I bought indoor out carpet, sound proofing, and office chairs to enhance my blind. I am totally happy with my purchase, and am looking to hunting season.
After an issue with shipping and communication, we finally got the stand. The stand had damage to the window and HuntingBlindsHQ was quick to assist and issue a partial credit.
The stand looks good otherwise.
We are excited to use the stand next hunting season.
1 year owned and absolutely love it. Like others have commented it does take some efforts to assemble but can be done 1 person. Fully satisfied and will purchase again
The size is good and the window layout is great, however the plastic walls and door is to thin and really flimsy in my opinion, it does stiffen up once it is assembled and tightened up. The rot proof floor is also not the same size as the blind either, it is 42” x 42” so it is a little snug with two people sitting side by side. There was no hardware to mount the blind to the frame in the box and all hardware included is zink coated so I replaced it all with stainless steel. The shooting shelves were also all 1” short so I had to make new ones. It is definitely at least a two person if not a three person job putting it together so make sure you have help. I definitely like the concept but I think it was poorly executed.
I bought three SC-1 in Summer 2023. From order to delivery was about four weeks and was worth it. All you need after delivery is some lag screws, four 4x4x8 and some 2x4’s for bracing and steps. We started putting al three of them up at 8:00am and finished by lunch. Big difference between last years homemade stand taking all day to get up and just braced. The SC-1’s had the leg slots already attached compared to purchasing them for a homemade stand at approximately $100.00. They were easily lifted by my tractor. I would recommend using 8ft legs for ease of placement. My tractor wouldn’t have been able to lift and move with 10ft legs. I have found nothing to complain about with these units. They are one piece molded. The only air that can possibly get in is around the plexiglass windows. All that you may want to do is add a mat/carpet to be quieter. They are tough as well as I dropped one while standing it up with no damage. If you have a tractor with forks it’s a one man show putting them up. As the title says they are Awesome especially for the price.
The Sportsman’s Condo are excellent products and Hunting Blinds HQ always have provided great customer service. Will buy again from here!!
I bought two of these and set them up, was so impressed that I bought two more. I built 8x10 platforms with decking planks so I'd be able to move around the assembly when bolting them together with less risk of falling and not having to work off of ladders. As suggested, I bolted in the windows before assembling, but before that I stood up the panels and spray painted them to match the surroundings (probably didn't matter to the deer, but I like my stands to blend in to the woods). After bolting them together I slid a cheap carpet under to seal off the planking seams before screwing the blind to the planking. This allowed for easy, quiet movement of a second hand office chair I put inside. I drilled a hole through the side to run a gas hose to a little buddy gas heater. I've been hunting steel ladder stands for 30 years in all weather, always liked to be out there in close connection to what is going on around me, but I'm telling you these stands are the nuts for midwest hunting with windy, cold, unpredictable weather. Won't be out in the rain, snow and wind any more. You can sit inside with pretty good visibility and just quietly lower the window when you see game, keep scent inside, although most of the time I leave the windows open to hear better, except when the wind is howling. You can hang hooks on the bolts that hold the sides together, for coats and possibles bags. Compare prices with other pre-assembled blinds, and figure out how you're going to get a premade blind up on a platform. These you can get up on your platform easily by section and put it together there; you really need two people to do it, but my wife and I easily assembled our blinds. Wait until the blind is fully assembled to screw the base flange to your platform, have to make sure the door functions properly. You might have to read and reread the door assembly instructions to get it right, but just take your time, everything is totally coordinated and properly pre-drilled, any problems were my fault for not reading instructions more carefully. All the necessary bolts and parts were there, with extras. We'll see how long they last, but I'm telling you that these are the best value for anyone who can turn a wrench and wants good quality. My son and grandson bowhunted out of one last year, enough room for two. Working with Hunting Blinds HQ and the shipping was absolutely painless. They should write me a check for this review, but I'm telling you that I'm very satisfied with these blinds.
This blind seems pretty well made and I really like the 5 sided design. Mine overlooks a food plot and I have a great view of the whole plot. The only complaint I have was that the two-piece roof was difficult to assemble because the plastic lip that’s supposed slip under the other piece was distorted so much I had to use a punch to line the holes up then put C clamps either side to squeeze it together. I also had to add additional holes and bolts in places where it still wanted to pucker out so the roof wouldn’t leak. Other than that it was fairly easy to assemble. I was able to do it by myself with no problems. I agree that the holes for the window clamps were a bit close to the window and the clamps could be slightly taller to allow for the foam weather seal. It’s going to be a heckuva lot easier and more comfortable than freezing in a tree stand. I’m getting too old for that (70).
Great product for the money! Very well built and excellent design. I am definitely going to order another one. Windows are super quiet when opening and closing. Door has a heavy duty lock system and seals perfectly from the elements of rain and snow.
Very easy to put together and set up. Windows open silently. I've had many different blinds this one is by far the best especially considering what other companies are charging for a hard permanent blind
I now own 3 of these box stands. 2 one person & 1 two person. Excellent product that I’m certain will last my lifetime.
