Great blind with lots of room and water tight so you can hunt in the rain, snow, wind, etc. My only complaint would be to have some hangers molded into the outside shell for secure shipping and also mounting and a few backing plates inside for mounting a coat hanger, gun mount, lunch box, whatever.
I installed a plywood flooring and carpet over the poly base flooring of this blind for both insulation , noise control, and to allow a chair with casters to move around quietly without the bolt heads in the way where they poly shell is mounted to the lower frame. This blind was defineitely worth the cost and was more economical than many similar blinds.
This blind can also be heated comfortably in cold weather with a small, disposable cylinder Buddy type heater.
Arrived promptly and intact, no issues there. Went to put it together and directions were ok, not great, not bad. Where a lot of it went awry is that it called for washers inside the blind and outside, however, came supplied with only enough to do one or the other. Next issue was fit. Holes lined up relatively quickly and easily, but the corners where the big windows come together did not line up well at all. They will require drilling additional holes and additional bolts/nuts to seal. The t-bars and knobs are also a joke. In most cases, have to flex the window to get it to close. Best bet is to replace the screws with longer ones which will allow more flexibility, but to go buy more when this already costs $2k??? Overall, very disappointed in build quality. It is set up on top of my platform and I am sure it will be ok from a hunting standpoint. But the money and time invested and the further work I am gonna have to do is very disappointing. I don't know if any others are any better, but I would consider those before buying another of these for my other properties and locations.
At first I was hesitant to spend the extra money and figured it would be a hassle to put together and set up. I was so wrong.
Yes it is almost ⅓ the price of the blind but it is well worth it. We had already spent the extra money to get the step kit which made it easier to climb up to the blind with my big, klunky hunting boots. But after trying to find that first step and climb down on the slick steps when you're tired, it's cold and it's dark made me wish I had a little porch or deck with some rails or handles... Oh yeh, they do make that!
Now, we have three decks on all three of our condo blinds. Most of our big hunters are almost as old as me (71) and the guys who have balance issues or none trouble are praising this addition. Now they can get up of the ground and see a little better than we did in ground blinds.
If you have a condo blind, you need this deck. Easy to put together and easy to attach. One person can do it, but easier with two. Takes less than an hour.
I purchased the Sportsman Condo 3 and had it shipped to Tennessee. Did not receive any tracking information other then that it was shipped. The tracking information would have been helpful to foreworn the receiving party when it was going to arrive. I flew to Tennessee to with the tools I needed to complete the set-up. I mounted the Condo on five-foot 4x4 inch legs. Good height for the Condo. The tools that I carried to Tennessee was a battery powered drill, battery operated heavy-duty driver (Milwaukee tire lug remover) for installing the four anchors in the dirt. Used lag screws for the legs and three sixteenth cable to attached to the anchors. With the right tools and materials, the Condo went up easily and in a short-time. The quality of the shooting house was very good. The only thing I would suggest that they would offer the Condo with tempered glass windows. The Plexi-glass is okay, but temper-glass would be much better. For the price-point of the Sportsman Condo it is a good buy. I built a shooting house in my yard this year and the costs of the construction materials approached the costs of the Condo (I built the shooting house like a house and over-built it). I looked at just about all the shooting houses on the market and kept coming back to the Sportsman Condo based upon the price and the quality of the blind. I would hardily recommend the Sportsman Condo.
First elevated blind I’ve ever built and been blessed to hunt in. I’ve experienced some cold hunts and I’m going to be warm this hunting season bc of this blind. I love the 360 windows so I can see from all angles and I can’t wait to ask my buddies to join the hunt with me. I can fit 3 ppl comfortably in this blind. The price point is another plus. There are other brands asking an insane amount for a blind but this one is the biggest bang for your buck! I’m very thankful and glad I purchased these blinds will recommend them to anyone and look forward to many hunting seasons in the ram blind!
